Professional Background
Kai came into the kitchen industry in 1982, after studying design for 2 years in the Denver area, and has been with DC&A since 1990. She has trained with all of the major appliance and cabinet manufacturers, and has received several awards throughout her career. She continues her training in design and keeps up to date with current trends in the industry by attending ongoing manufacturer's training courses.

Approach to Kitchen & Bath Design
Kai describes her design approach as "balanced, knowing the difference between the aesthetic value of a space and the function of it, without over doing it". She takes pleasure in the design process, and in helping her clients create that "great space". She treasures the fact that she now works with the second generation of her builders. Kai attributes her longevity in the industry to her experience, to giving the best customer service, and to following through on the smallest of details.  

When Not Designing
Kai enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
